WASHINGTON (AP and NewsPop) ā€” Pope Francis landed in the United States Tuesday for a six-day, three-city visit. He was greeted by President and Mrs. Obama on the tarmac at Andrews Air Force Base, just outside of Washington, D.C. Crowds on the base cheered on the Pope, chanting “Ho, Ho, Hey, Hey, Welcome to the U.S.A.”

The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church worldwide. This trip marks his first ever visit to the U.S.

Pope Francis met with President Obama at the White House Wednesday morning. He’ll travel to New York on Thursday and to Philadelphia on Saturday.
